In this cheeky board book sequel to Feminist Baby, Brantz introduces a male feminist infant with a scribble of dark hair who wears little more than diapers and sometimes a cape. Feminist Baby knows “it’s okay to cry” (demonstrated following a leap off the couch) and “is breaking down walls” (blue, pink, and purple Lego blocks go flying). Joined by three diaper-clad friends, Feminist Baby dances in the shining light of a disco ball, joins a “feminist book club,” and expresses himself by dressing as a dinosaur ballerina (“Feminist Baby is who he wants to be”). Brantz’s series is no less genuine for being tongue-in-cheek—as the child picks up the baby monitor as if to broadcast: “Feminism is for everyone—let’s start today!” Ages up to 2.

Toddler-PreS-A new Feminist Baby learns social justice while teething, giggling, and dancing with his diapered friends. Brantz's rhyming text follows a brown-skinned boy as he plays with dolls, takes part in a feminist book club, and knows it's OK to cry. Bright illustrations and Feminist Baby's wide-eyed optimism make for an adorable addition to the series that dismantles toxic masculinity and reminds kids and adults that "feminism is for everyone."
