With a killer on the loose in the bayou, Sarah Beauregard's boss calls in Nick Cain to help with the investigation. It's clear from the start that they are both physically attracted to each other, but until somebody targets them both with attempted murder and robbery, they keep their distance. Finding the killer is their priority, especially since it may be another cop. Sparks ignite between the two, and readers will be delighted with the romantic depiction of their budding relationship. VERDICT Solving the murder and staying safe while exploring their newfound love, the characters Sarah and Nick make this a great third book in the series from Cassidy (Monster in the Marsh).--Shondra Brown
