Kasey is a science prodigy who lives in an eco-city in the sky. She longs to find her sister, who left and was lost at sea. But Cee has survived for years on a remote island with only a bot for company. Slowly, Cee's memories of Kasey are returning, and she knows she must venture into the ocean to find her. Wu keeps the sisters distinct and emphasizes their personalities with subtle tonal shifts as she narrates chapters that alternate point of view. Cee's story is told in a bright first person, and Kasey's in a more removed and conflicted third person. Listeners will be slowly drawn into their devastating story full of perfectly executed twists.
